Meh.

I'm sick and grumpy. My family is out at the church tonight, rocking the Mexican potluck with my hot n' saucy Mexican Lasagne, but I'm here, hangin' with the guinea pig and the gerbil. And they aren't interested in my Mexican Lasagne, sadly, saucy though it may be.

Have watched the following movies whilst lying (laying? help me here, grade 6 grammar) in bed, snuffling, snorting and sniffling:

Thirty Blethering Points to the first person who can name all five movies without Googling. Ten extra points for telling me which is your fave, and why.*

*So, yeah, I'm reaching a bit with this post.

I have no idea but I can't wait to find out. I love these kinds of movies. I had never even seen pride and prejudice until a year or so ago. It was intense and I LOVED it!

All right, it's

1. Miss Potter
2. Jane Eyre
3. Pride & Prejudice
4. Phantom of the Opera
5. Room With a View

Fave is Jane Eyre, because it is well executed, not too fluffy and nice (as is, say, P&P) and complex.

I just watched "Cranford" which is a BBC miniseries based on some novellas of Mrs Gaskell - highly recommended. Judi Dench, Francesca Annis, Imelda Staunton, Simon Woods, Greg Wise, Eileen Atkins, Michael Gambon......run, don't walk.

Right you are, Shan. You're right about P&P being quite nice, but I love it all the same. JE is still my fave as well, although it's difficult to outdo the fantastic kiss scene in Room w/ a View.

Get well soon.

We're all in this together. 3 down 2 to go. Fingers crossed that they will skip the vile bug.
